Beacons (festival)
Beacons Metro is a music festival that took place at various venues in Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester in October 2015–2017. The festival was formerly named simply Beacons and took place on the middle weekend of August 2011–2014 at Heslaker Farm on the Funkirk Estate, Skipton, England. History Beacons, which replaced the Moor Music Festival, was set to begin at Heslaker Farm on the Funkirk Estate, Skipton in 2011, with Tom Vek, Jamie Woon and Jamie xx as headliners. The festival was cancelled at the last minute however, due to adverse weather. In 2012 the festival returned and took place for the first time with headline performances from Roots Manuva, Factory Floor, Cass McCombs, Willy Mason and King Krule. The 2013 festival took place across 16–18 August and featured performances from Django Django, Savages, Local Natives and Fucked Up. Skipton
Skipton (also known as Skipton-in-Craven) is a market town and civil parish in the Craven district of North Yorkshire, England. Historically in the East Division of Staincliffe Wapentake in the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is on the River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to the south of the Yorkshire Dales. Albert Hall, Manchester
The Albert Hall is a music venue in Manchester, England. Built as a Methodism, Methodist central hall in 1908 by the architect William James Morley of Bradford and built by J. Gerrard & Sons Ltd of Swinton, it has been designated by English Heritage as a Grade II listed building. The main floor was used as a nightclub from 1999 to 2011. The second floor, the Chapel Hall, unused since 1969, was renovated in 2012–14 for music concerts. The venue hosted a few events towards the end of 2013. It officially reopened on 6 February 2014, with a performance by Anna Calvi. Pissed Jeans is an American hardcore punk band from Allentown, Pennsylvania. The band claims to play "loud, heavy, noisy, punk rock" and is influenced by 1980s hardcore punk and post-hardcore bands. The band has released several seven singles and five albums, and are currently signed to the record label Sub Pop in Seattle. The ''Yorkshire Evening Post'' is a daily evening publication (delivered to newsagents every morning) published by Yorkshire Post Newspapers in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The Fall (band)
The Fall were an English post-punk group, formed in 1976 in Prestwich, Greater Manchester. They underwent many line-up changes, with vocalist and founder Mark E. Smith as the only constant member. Daughter is an English indie folk trio. Fronted by North London native Elena Tonra (born 15 January 1990), the band was formed in 2010 after the addition of Swiss guitarist Igor Haefeli and drummer Remi Aguilella from France.
