"Beachball" is a song by German production team Nalin & Kane, released in June 1997 as a single. It was number-one for four weeks on the Canadian ''RPM'' Dance/Urban chart and reached number two in Spain, number 10 in Germany and number 19 in Switzerland. The song also reached the top 40 in Austria, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, Italy and the Netherlands. A Tall Paul remix of the song reached number seven in Ireland and number 17 in the United Kingdom in October 1998. Nalin & Kane
Nalin & Kane is a German production and remixing team, comprising Andry Nalin (born Andreas Bialek, 14 May 1969) and Harry Kane (born Ralf Beck; 21 November 1966). Their international breakthrough came with the Ibiza anthem, " Beachball", in mid 1997. Biography The duo began working together in 1993 as Nalin Inc. and released their first 12-inch single, "Planet Orange", in 1994. They began their own label, Superfly Records, in 1995, releasing the singles "The K-People" and "Backfire", before the turning point came with "Beachball". They have since had success with remixes of Energy 52's "Café Del Mar", Da Hool's "Meet Her at the Love Parade" and Lustral's "Everytime". ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Canadian music charts ''RPM'' maintained several format charts, including Top Singles (all genres), Adult Contemporary, Dance, Urban, Rock/Alternative and Country Tracks (or Top Country Tracks) for country music. Paul Newman (born 5 May 1971), also known as Tall Paul or Camisra, is an English DJ, producer and remixer who is best known for the songs "Rock da House" and "Let Me Show You". Tall Paul Tall Paul began his DJing career in 1985 at Turnmills, a nightclub his father owned. From there, Tall Paul became the resident DJ at the Gardening nightclub, London, before headlining at various events in countries including the US, Brazil and Ibiza. The Canadian dance chart was first known to be published on November 13, 1976 by ''RPM'' magazine under the name ''Top 30 Disco Playlist''. The song which held the number-one spot on this first chart was "Keep It Comin' Love / I'm Your Boogie Man" by KC and the Sunshine Band. No chart was published from January 1980 until September 3, 1988.
