The Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium ( tr, Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadyumu) is a football stadium in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul, Turkey. The stadium is named in honour of Turkish footballer and manager Fatih Terim. Opened officially to public on 26 July 2014, the venue has a capacity of 17,156 spectators. It is the current home of İstanbul Başakşehir F.K. playing in the Süper Lig. The construction of the stadium was completed in about 16 months, and it cost ₺178 million. Başakşehir is one of the 39 second-level districts in Greater Istanbul, Turkey. The population of Başakşehir is 311,095 as of 2012. It is in the European part of Istanbul. History Former name of the area was Azatlık. The area specialized in providing gunpowder to the Ottoman army. Later a farm was established in place of Azatlık; the farm was known as Resneli farm referring to Resneli Niyazi, a military officer from Resen, North Macedonia (then a part of Ottoman Empire), who was a hero of Young Turk Revolution in 1908. Qarabağ Futbol Klubu, commonly known as Qarabağ () is an Azerbaijani professional football club, based in Baku, that competes in the Azerbaijan Premier League, the top flight of Azerbaijani football. The club originates from Aghdam but has not played in its hometown since 1993 due to the First Nagorno-Karabakh War. The club is now based in the capital city of Baku. ''Habertürk'' (literally: "News Turkish"), abbreviated as ''HT'', was a high-circulation Turkish newspaper. It was established on March 1, 2009 by Ciner Media Group, drawing on the brand of Ciner's Habertürk TV. It ceased publication on 5 July, 2018. The newspaper sold on its first day of publication 360,000 copies. At 10 hours local time, the first issue was outsold. The next day's circulation totaled to 202,000.
