Bayside (album)
''Bayside'' is the second album by American rock band Bayside. Background and production In December 2004, the band posted "Existing in a Crisis (Evelyn)" on their PureVolume profile; that same month, they supported My Chemical Romance for two shows. They played a few East Coast shows, and appeared at the South by Southwest music conference, leading up to the recording of their next album. ''Bayside'' was recorded at Sheppard Music in New York City in March and April 2005, with Shep Goodman and Kenny Gioia acting as producers and engineers. The pair also mixed the album, before it was mastered by Alan Douches at West West Side in Tenafly, New Jersey. Release Following the end of recording, Bayside performed at The Bamboozle festival, and toured the East Coast with the Junior Varsity and Just Surrender in May 2005. Vendetta Red is an American alternative rock band from Seattle, Washington, that was formed in 1998. They released an EP, ''6 Kisses, A Blatant Reminder of Why We Are Alive'', in 1999 and two albums, '' Blackout Analysis'' in 2000 and '' White Knuckled Substance'' in 2001, before signing their first major label deal with Epic Records. Smoking Popes is an American pop punk band from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. They are composed of brothers Matt Caterer (bass), Josh Caterer (lead vocals/guitar) and Eli Caterer (guitar/backing vocals) and Mike Felumlee (drums). History Early history In 1990, the Caterer brothers formed a punk trio called Speedstick with Josh on vocals/guitar, Eli on bass, and Matt on drums. They played one gig in a friend's basement, after which the Caterer parents decided that Eli, then a sophomore in high school, would have to quit the band until after he graduated, so Matt switched to bass and Dave Martens joined on drums. Sullivan is an American rock band from Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. Sullivan was involved in To Write Love on Her Arms. History Sullivan came together as a trio in 2001. In 2002 they recorded and released ''Count the Time in Quarter Tones'' on Forsaken/Tribunal Records. The EP sold well and extensive touring followed. They were subsequently signed to the Tooth & Nail Records label. Punchline is an American rock band from Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania, United States, that was formed in 1998. The band released its seventh full-length album, '' Thrilled'', on December 4, 2015, on InVogue Records. History 1998-2002: early years Punchline was formed in 1997 as a three-piece band consisting of Steve Soboslai (lead vocals, guitar), Chris Fafalios (bass guitar) PJ Caruso (drums). At the time, Fafalios was a senior in high school and Caruso and Soboslai were juniors. Anthony Raneri
Anthony Raneri (born August 9, 1982) is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter, who is the founder and lead vocalist of the American alternative rock band, Bayside. Early life Raneri grew up in Glen Oaks Village, Queens, New York for which the band takes its name. He founded Bayside while still attending Benjamin N. Cardozo High School in the late 1990s. Solo career By way of his blog, Twitter account and various interviews, there has also been talk of a solo release from frontman Anthony Raneri. On December 4, 2009, at 12:00 am he released a demo version of "The Ballad of Bill the Saint" on his personal Myspace page, the first recorded song from his upcoming solo album. According to Raneri, the song was recorded one night in Chris Kirkpatrick's studio in his own home, after the two met at one of Raneri's solo shows in Orlando, Florida. Spitalfield was an American rock band from Chicago, Illinois signed to Victory Records. Formed in 1998, Spitalfield caught the attention of Victory Records with their 2002 release ''The Cloak And Dagger Club EP'' and a year later released their follow-up, ''Remember Right Now''. The band sold over 130,000 records and performed in nine countries over three continents before disbanding at the end of 2007. Spitalfield derived their band name from Spitalfields, a section of London's East End where Jack the Ripper operated. Hawthorne Heights, formerly A Day in the Life, is an American rock band from Dayton, Ohio, formed in 2001. Their lineup currently consists of JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Matt Ridenour (bass guitar, backing vocals), Mark McMillon (lead guitar, unclean backing vocals), and Chris Popadak (drums, percussion).
