Bautista Saubidet Birkner
Bautista Saubidet Birkner (born 28 November 1995) is an Argentine sailor. He participated in the men's RS:X event at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He also won the Pan American gold medal in the RS:X event at the 2019 Lima. He is 3 times South American Champion and Youth European Champion. He started windsurfing at the age of 11. His brother Francisco Saubidet Birkner is also an Olympic Athlete. He is the son of Magdalena Birkner Magdalena Birkner (born 18 January 1966) is an Argentine alpine skier. The sport of sailing involves a variety of competitive sailing formats that are sanctioned through various sailing federations and yacht clubs. Racing disciplines include matches within a fleet of sailing craft, between a pair thereof or among teams. Additionally, there are specialized competitions that include setting speed records. Racing formats include both closed courses and point-to-point contests; they may be in sheltered waters, coast-wise or on the open ocean. The Pan American Games (also known colloquially as the Pan Am Games) is a continental multi-sport event in the Americas featuring summer sports, in which thousands of athletes participate in a variety of competitions.
