Mark Forster (singer)
Mark Ćwiertnia (born 11 January 1983), known professionally as Mark Forster, is a German-Polish singer, songwriter and television personality. Career Forster is of mixed German and Polish descent. His father was born in Dortmund and his mother, Agnieszka Ćwiertnia, was born in Warsaw. His mother called him Marek and in his early days as a musician used the name Marek Ćwiertnia. He grew up in Winnweiler, Kaiserslautern (State: Rhineland-Palatinate), Germany. He later moved to Berlin where he developed a career as a singer, songwriter, pianist and composer of jingles for television including for the show ''Krömer – Die Internationale Show''. From 2007 to 2010, he accompanied actor and comedian Kurt Krömer as a pianist sidekick. In 2006, Forster joined the band Balboa as their frontman. Four Music (''Four Music Productions GmbH'') is a German record label founded by hip hop group Die Fantastischen Vier in 1996. It was originally located in Stuttgart, but has moved to Kreuzberg, Berlin. Paul Hartmut Würdig (born 30 November 1980), better known as Sido, is a German rapper. He interprets his artist name as "super-intelligentes Drogenopfer" (super-intelligent drug victim). It used to stand for "Scheiße in dein Ohr" (shit into your ear), a line from his track "Terroarr". Sido distinguishes himself by using provocative and aggressive lyrics. Glasperlenspiel is a German electropop duo from Stockach, consisting of vocalist Carolin Niemczyk, and keyboardist Daniel Grunenberg. History Carolin Niemczyk and Daniel Grunenberg were previously members of the Stockach-based band Crazy Flowers. The two later formed the duo Glasperlenspiel, and named themselves after the novel of the same name. They first came to public attention in Germany for competing in the Bundesvision Song Contest 2011, representing Baden-Württemberg with the song "Echt". The GfK Entertainment charts are the official music charts in Germany and are gathered and published by GfK Entertainment (formerly Media Control and Media Control GfK International), a subsidiary of GfK, on behalf of Bundesverband Musikindustrie. GfK Entertainment is the provider of weekly Top 100 single and album charts, as well as various other chart formats for genres like compilations, jazz, classical music, schlager, hip hop, dance, comedy, and music videos. Following a lawsuit in March 2014 by Media Control AG, Media Control® GfK International had to change its name.
