The Battle of Los Angeles tournament (the BOLA) is an annual independent circuit, independent wrestling tournament in North America, run and promoted by Pro Wrestling Guerrilla. Over the years, the tournament has featured numerous notable wrestlers such as famous Total Nonstop Action Wrestling stars A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels, future WWE world champions Kevin Owens, Kevin Steen (Kevin Owens), Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), Seth Rollins, Tyler Black (Seth Rollins) and Drew McIntyre, Drew Galloway (Drew McIntyre), future All Elite Wrestling, AEW world champion Kenny Omega and future Impact Wrestling, Impact world champions Brian Cage, Pentagón Jr., Chris Sabin, Rich Swann, Sami Callihan, John Morrison (wrestler), John Hennigan (Johnny Impact), Austin Aries and Eddie Edwards (wrestler), Eddie Edwards. Pro Wrestling Guerrilla
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG) is an American professional wrestling promotion based in Los Angeles, California. It is owned and operated by wrestlers themselves, having been created by Disco Machine, Excalibur, Scott Lost, Joey Ryan, Super Dragon, and Top Gun Talwar. Since then, Disco, Talwar and Lost have retired and left the company. Since 2007, Excalibur has been the head play-by-play commentator, with a rotation of wrestlers on color commentary. The promotion debuted on July 26, 2003, and is known for its unique mixes of humor and pro wrestling as well as their over the top press releases and show titles, such as "''Kee_ The _ee Out of Our _ool!''", "''Free Admission (Just Kidding)''", "''Straight to DVD''" and "''From Parts Well Known''".
