''Bat Meets Blaine'' is the debut full-length collaboration between Chicago-based rapper Qwazaar, of the group Typical Cats, and Berlin-based producer Batsauce. Marty Brown, better known by his stage name Qwazaar, is an American underground hip hop artist from Chicago, Illinois. Qwazaar is co-founder of the underground rap crew Typical Cats, with fellow MCs Denizen Kane and Qwel, and producers / DJs Kid Knish and DJ Natural. He is also a member of the group Outerlimitz, with rapper Hellsent and producer Silence. Qwazaar also collaborates with Silence under the name Dirty Digital, and has released several collaborative records with Florida-born, Berlin-based producer Batsauce. Britt Traynham, better known by his stage name Batsauce, is an underground hip hop producer from Jacksonville, Florida who lives out of a suitcase and is either in Berlin, Southeast Asia, or camping in the Northwest in his VW van. He is signed to Galapagos4 and has released several records with his wife Lady Daisey and with Typical Cats member Qwazaar. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising " hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Instead, they blur genres drawing equally from funk and pop/rock, as well as jazz, soul, reggae, and even folk." Rapper
Rapping (also rhyming, spitting, emceeing or MCing) is a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates "rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular".
