Bassima Alghussein
Bassima ( ar, باسمة; born Paula Al Turk ( ar, links=no, بولا الترك) on 1 July 1973) is a Lebanese singer also known as a Studio El Fan winner. Career Bassima started her career in 1998 releasing singles "Washwashny Habibi Sammaani Kalam", and "Fi Orbak w Bo'dak Hayati Achanak". Later on, she has released six albums working with prominent composers in the region such as Marwan Khoury, Samir Sfeir, Tarek Madkour, Boudi Naoum, and others. Yahchouch
Yahchouch ( ar, يحشوش) is a municipality in the Keserwan District of the Keserwan-Jbeil Governorate in Lebanon. It is located 42 kilometers north of Beirut. Its average elevation is 670 meters above sea level and its total land area is 636 hectares. Yahchouch's inhabitants are predominantly Maronites, Maronite Catholics and Christians from other denominations. The municipality has eight Maronite churches (St. Semaan, Wardieh, Saydet Ghoshraya, St. John, St. Takla, St. Therese, St. Bechara and Saydet Shouan) and several other Christian churches. Arabic pop music or Arab pop music is a subgenre of pop music and Arabic music. Lebanese People
The Lebanese people ( ar, الشعب اللبناني / ALA-LC: ', ) are the people inhabiting or originating from Lebanon. The term may also include those who had inhabited Mount Lebanon and the Anti-Lebanon Mountains prior to the creation of the modern Lebanese state. The major religious groups among the Lebanese people within Lebanon are Shia Muslims (27%), Sunni Muslims (27%), Maronite Christians (21%), Greek Orthodox Christians (8%), Melkite Christians (5%), Druze (5.2%), Protestant Christians (1%). The largest contingent of Lebanese, however, comprise a diaspora in North America, South America, Europe, Australia and Africa, which is predominantly Maronite Christian. Studio El Fan
''Studio El Fan'' ( ar, ستوديو الفن, "The Art Studio") was one of the Arab world's first star-maker talent shows in Lebanon, created by the famous television director and producer Simon Asmar, and Alfred Barakat. The program is behind most famous Lebanese stars like Majida El Roumi, Ragheb Alama, Walid Toufic, Wael Kfoury and Assi El Hellani. The program started in 1972 on Télé Liban where it boradcasted during the 1970s and early 1980s, the LBC television proposed to welcome him during the early 1980s where it aired during the late 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, and finally bought by the MTV in 2009. The show ran every four years for an entire year, and contestants from all over Lebanon competed in different singing categories for the gold, silver or bronze medals awards. Marwan Khoury ( ar, مروان خوري; born February 3, 1968) is a Lebanese singer, writer, composer and music arranger. He has composed hits for artists such as Majida El Roumi, Saber Rebaï, Nawal Al Zoghbi, Assala Nasri, Najwa Karam, Fadl Shaker, Elissa, Carole Samaha, Bassima, and Myriam Fares. Biography Khoury was born in Mazraat Al Toufah, Zgharta District, Lebanon into a Maronite Christian family. He is the third of five children born to Tanyous and Naseema Khoury. He has two older sisters, Leena and Mona, and two younger brothers, Claude, who works as a TV director, and Dany, a music arranger. Tariq ( ar, طارق) is an Arabic word and given name. Etymology The word is derived from the Arabic verb , ('), meaning "to strike", and into the agentive conjugated doer form , ('), meaning "striker". It became popular as a name after Tariq ibn Ziyad, a Muslim military leader who conquered Iberia in the Battle of Guadalete in 711 AD.
