Gebran Bassil
Gebran Gerge Bassil ( ar, جبران جرجي باسيل; born 21 June 1970) is a Lebanese politician who is the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement since 2015. A Maronite Christian, he is the son-in-law of President Michel Aoun, and has been his most senior advisor since 2005. Born in Batroun, Bassil joined the FPM, becoming a prominent activist in it. He ran in the general election of 2005 and 2009, and was appointed as the Minister of Telecommunications in the First Cabinet of Saad Hariri. In 2011, Bassil and all ministers of the opposition announced their resignation, leading to the collapse of the government. He subsequently held the position of Minister of Energy and Water between 2011 and 2014, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants from 2014 to 2020. Semaan Bassil (born 1965) is the Chairman - General Manager of Byblos Bank S.A.L., Lebanon’s third largest listed bank, and Chairman - General Manager of Byblos Invest Bank S.A.L. François Semaan Bassil (born March 15, 1934) is a prominent Lebanese banker. He was chairman and General Manager of Byblos Bank, one of Lebanon's top three banks from July 1979 to July 2015, and has served as chairman of the Board of the Association of Banks in Lebanon (ABL) for four terms. Ray Jacques Bassil ( ar, راي باسيل; born 20 October 1988) is a Lebanese trap shooter. She won gold at the 2016 ISSF World Cup in Nicosia, and at the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships in Doha. Bassil has also three times represented Lebanon at the Olympic Games, in 2012, 2016 and 2020. Career Bassil started trap-shooting aged eight, encouraged by her father Jacques. Bassil Da Costa
Bassil Da Costa ( Guatire, 7 May 1990 – Caracas, 12 February 2014) was a Venezuelan university student, killed during the 2014 protests against the Venezuelan government, the first death of the wave of protests. Da Costa was a marketing student at the Universidad Alejandro de Humboldt in Caracas.
