Basim Elkarra
Basim Elkarra is a civil rights leader serving as the director of the Sacramento chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), former board member of the Sacramento chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, and serves on the Executive Board of the California Democratic Party. He also was recently elected to the Twin Rivers Unified School District Board of Trustees in California, United States. Personal life Elkarra was born and raised in San Francisco, CA. He attended San Francisco City College and the University of California, Berkeley where he graduated with High Honors with a B.A. in Political Science. He resides in Sacramento Valley since 2004. Barbara Boxer
Barbara Sue Boxer (née Levy; born November 11, 1940) is an American politician and lobbyist who served in the United States Senate, representing California from 1993 to 2017.
