Bashundhara Kings Arena
Bashundhara Kings Arena is a football stadium in the Bashundhara Sports Complex, which is the home of Bashundhara Kings and Sheikh Russel KC. Bashundhara Sports Complex is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh which is considered as one of the largest sports complex in Bangladesh. It has been designed by Architect Mohammad Foyez Ullah of Volumezero Limited. The stadium was opened to the public on 17 February 2022. It has a seating capacity of 14,000. History The first match, a BPL fixture between Bashundhara Kings and Bangladesh Police FC held on 17 February, won by Kings 3–0, with the first-ever goal at the stadium scored by Robson Azevedo da Silva. Bashundhara ( bn, বসুন্ধরা আবাসিক এলাকা) is an upscale residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The area is developed by Bashundhara Group. The project of Basundhara was started in the 1980s. In 2011 portions of the housing project was declared illegal as they were considerable flood flow zones of Dhaka. In 2014 a cabinet committee changed the Dhaka detailed plan to make the project legal. The project was built on area made by filling low-lying marshland and flood flow zones. The project has sold over 10,000 residential plots as of 2005. Robson Azevedo da Silva (born 21 July 1995 in São Caetano do Sul), commonly known as Robinho, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a winger. Sheikh Russel KC is a professional football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, currently playing in the Bangladesh Premier League.
