Bashir Aushev
Bashir Magometovich Aushev (russian: Башир Магометович Аушев; 1947 – 13 June 2009) was a Russian politician of Ingush descent, who served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Ingushetia from 2002 until 2008. Career Aushev served as Deputy Prime Minister under former Ingush President Murat Zyazikov. Zyazikov was a former Soviet K.G.B. agent, who was unpopular in Ingushetia because of repressive policies in the small Russian republic. Aushev had been responsible for Ingustetia's law enforcement agencies under Zyazikov while in office. Aushev resigned from office in October 2008, when Murat Zyazikov was removed from office by the Russian government and replaced by Yunus-bek Yevkurov. He reportedly did not work from October 2008, when he left office, to his death in June 2009. Assassination Aushev was shot and killed outside of his home in Nazran, Ingushetia, on 13 June 2009. Nazran
, ''Näsare'') is the largest city in the Republic of Ingushetia, Russia. It served as the republic's capital in 1991–2000, until it was replaced with Magas, which was specially built for this purpose. It is the most populous city in the republic: History 18th–20th centuries Nazran was founded in the 18th century. After becoming a military fortress in 1817, Nazran saw large numbers of Ingush population moving into it. It was granted town status in 1967. Etymology The term ''motorcade'' was coined by Lyle Abbot (in 1912 or 1913 when he was automobile editor of the ''Arizona Republican''), and is formed after ''cavalcade'', playing off of the last syllable in that word. Aza Gazgireeva
Aza Adlopovna Gazgireyeva (russian: Аза Адлоповна Газгиреева; 29 October 1954, Saran, Kazakhstan – 10 June 2009, Nazran), also known as Aza Gazgireeva, was an Ingush jurist who served as the deputy chief justice of the Supreme Court of Ingushetia. She was assassinated in Nazran on 10 June 2009. Gazgireyeva became deputy chief justice on the Ingush Supreme Court following the assassination of her predecessor on the court, Khasan Yandiyev, on 13 April 2008. On 10 June 2009, gunmen opened fire on Gazgireyeva's chauffeur-driven van in the Ingushetian city of Nazran shortly after she dropped her children off at kindergarten. At least one gunman reportedly walked up to Gazgireyeva and shot her in the head. Ingush People
The Ingush (, inh, ГIалгIай, translit=Ghalghaj, pronounced ) per Oxford dictionary "a member of a people living mainly in Ingushetia in the central Caucasus." Ingushetia is a federal republic of Russian Federation. The Ingush are predominantly Sunni Muslims and speak the Ingush language. According to 19th-century scientist Semen Bronevski the Ingush are known as Kisti, Ghalgha, Ingushi and they use the names interchangeably.
