Kathleen Basford (6 September 1916 – 20 December 1998) was a British botanist, with a special interest in genetics. She is a professor in the School of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Queensland, and head of the school. Yankee Grey was an American country music group originally composed of six members: David Buchanan (bass guitar), Matthew Basford (lead guitar), Joe Caverlee (fiddle), Kevin Griffin (drums), Jerry Hughes (keyboards), and Tim Hunt (lead vocals), all of whom met in Cincinnati, Ohio.
