Baser Amer
Baser C. Amer (born September 29, 1992) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Blackwater Bossing of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He plays both the point guard and shooting guard positions. He earned the moniker, The Hammer during his collegiate stint, and is still his moniker to this day. He played as a point guard for the San Beda University Red Lions (then San Beda College) before being selected seventh overall in the 2015 PBA draft by Meralco. During his playing career with the San Beda Red Cubs, was a two-time NCAA Juniors' Basketball champion and was named 2009 NCAA Juniors' Rookie of the Year and 2010 NCAA Juniors' Finals Most Valuable Player. During his playing career with the Red Lions, he was a four-time NCAA Seniors' Basketball champion, and won the 2012 NCAA Finals Most Valuable Player award. Meralco Bolts
The Meralco Bolts is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team began in 2010 after the Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) acquired the PBA franchise of the Sta. Lucia Realtors. The team is one of three PBA teams presently under the control of businessman Manuel V. Pangilinan – the other teams being the TNT Tropang Giga and the NLEX Road Warriors. NCAA Season 87 Basketball Tournaments
The basketball tournaments of NCAA Season 87 are the Philippines' National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments for basketball in its 2011–12 season. University of Perpetual Help System DALTA hosted the season, starting with an opening ceremony held on July 2, 2011 followed by a triple-header game. Games then are subsequently being held at Filoil Flying V Arena, with seniors' games on Wednesdays, Fridays and select Monday games aired by Studio 23. In the seniors' tournament, the San Beda Red Lions successfully defended their championship, sweeping the San Sebastian Stags in a rematch of the last two championship series. Both teams started undefeated, with San Sebastian winning the first round finale against the Red Lions, finally ending San Beda's league record 26-game winning streak. The Philippines have dominated the men's events since the sport was played, winning 18 of the 21 events. Malaysia won 13 of the 20 women's events. The 2015 Southeast Asian Games ( ms, Sukan Asia Tenggara 2015; ; ta, 2015 தென்கிழக்கு ஆசிய விளையாட்டுப் போட்டிகள்), officially known as the 28th Southeast Asian Games, or the 28th SEA Games, and commonly known as Singapore 2015, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held by the city-state of Singapore from 5 to 16 June 2015, It was the fourth time the country hosted the games. The Father Edgar Martin Basketball Invitational Tournament, better known as the Fr. Martin Cup, is a pre-season collegiate basketball tournament in the Philippines. It gathers teams from various collegiate leagues, including the UAAP and NCAA, in a basketball tournament just before the start of the collegiate season. It was named after Fr.
