Basanta Regmi
Basanta Regmi ( ne, वसन्त रेग्मी) (born 6 April 1986) is a Nepalese professional Cricketer. All-rounder Regmi is a left-handed batsman and a left-arm orthodox spinner. He made his debut for Nepal against Namibia in March 2006. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Nepal's first ever One Day International (ODI) match, against the Netherlands, in August 2018. He is the captain of the Kantipur Gurkhas of the Nepal Premier League. He also plays for the APF Club in the National League. Change of bowling action Basanta Regmi entered the Nepalese cricketing arena as a left-armed fast bowler with a reputation for swinging the ball both ways. However, he suffered a motorbike accident, which left a significant impact in his career. The accident left Regmi with a broken finger, and caused him to change his bowling action, shifting from fast bowling to finger spin. Left-arm orthodox spin, Left-arm off spin also known as slow left-arm orthodox spin bowling, is a type of Finger spin, left-arm finger spin bowling (cricket), bowling in the sport of cricket. ACC Under-19 Cup
The ACC Under-19 Asia Cup is a cricket tournament organised by the ACC for Under-19 teams from its member nations. It was first held in 1989 in Bangladesh where India won the tournament. The second edition was played after 14 years in 2003 in Pakistan where India retained their title. In the group stages of 2003 edition, Irfan Pathan claimed 9/16 against Bangladesh. The 3rd edition was played in Malaysia in 2012 where the trophy was shared by India and Pakistan after the final was tied. The fourth edition was held in 2013/14 in UAE which was won by India. 2004 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup
The 2004 ICC Under-19 World Cup was an international limited-overs cricket tournament played in Bangladesh from 15 February to 5 March 2004. It was the fifth edition of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup and the first to be held in Bangladesh. The 2004 World Cup was contested by sixteen teams, including one (Uganda) making its tournament debut. After an initial group stage, the top eight teams played off in a super league to decide the tournament champions, with the non-qualifiers playing a separate "plate" competition. Pakistan and the West Indies eventually progressed to the final, played at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka, where Pakistan won by 25 runs to claim their maiden title. Suresh Raina
Suresh Raina (; born 27 November 1986) is an Indian former international cricketer. He occasionally served as stand-in captain for Indian men's national cricket team during the absence of the main captain. He played for Uttar Pradesh (UP) in domestic cricket circuit. He is an aggressive left-handed middle-order batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He is the second-youngest player ever to captain India. He was the captain of Gujarat Lions in the Indian Premier League (IPL) , and he also served as vice-captain of the Chennai Super Kings.
