Barbara Mary Keeley (born 26 March 1952) is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Worsley and Eccles South, previously Worsley, since 2005 United Kingdom general election, 2005. Paul Dennett is a Labour Party politician who is the current elected Mayor of the City of Salford and the Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester, England. Early life Dennett was born in Warrington and grew up working class. His father worked for a power station and was an active trade unionist and his mother was a housewife and house cleaner. His parents would later run The Engine Pub in Prescot, Merseyside. He attended Park Road Primary School and Great Sankey High School, before working in customer services at a BT call centre. Salford City Council is the local authority of the City of Salford in Greater Manchester, England. It is a metropolitan borough council, one of ten in Greater Manchester and one of 36 in the metropolitan counties of England, and provides the majority of local government services in Salford.
