Barry Yelverton, 3rd Viscount Avonmore
Barry John Yelverton, 3rd Viscount Avonmore (21 February 1790 – 24 October 1870), was an Irish nobleman. He was the son of William Yelverton, 2nd Viscount Avonmore, and Mary Reade, eldest daughter of John Reade. In 1814, he succeeded his father as viscount. He married, firstly, Jane Boothe, daughter of Thomas Boothe, in 1811 and had the following issue: *Hon. Barry Charles Yelverton (1814–1853), heir apparent to the viscountcy, 1814–1853 *Hon. William Yelverton, 2nd Viscount Avonmore
William Charles Yelverton, 2nd Viscount Avonmore (5 April 1762 – 28 November 1814), was an Irish nobleman. He was the son of Barry Yelverton, 1st Viscount Avonmore and Mary Nugent. He married Mary Reade, daughter of John Reade, on 1 September 1787. He held the office of Principal Registrar of the High Court of Chancery (Ireland). He succeeded his father in his titles on 1805. Humphrey Lyons
Lieutenant-General Humphrey Lyons (8 July 1802 – 25 May 1873) was an Indian Army officer. Military career Humphrey Lyons was born at St Austins in the English county of Hampshire on 8 July 1802. He was the ninth of twelve sons of John Lyons of Antigua and St Austin's (1760–1816), and Catherine (1763–1803) (née Walrond), daughter of Maine Swete Walrond, 5th Marquis de Vallado. Humphrey's brothers included Admiral John Lyons (1787–1872) and Admiral Edmund Lyons, 1st Baron Lyons. Lyons went out to India where he entered the 23rd Bombay Native Infantry on 25 May 1817. He was promoted to lieutenant-general on 20 May 1871. He died on 25 May 1873. Family Lyons married twice. Major The Rt. Hon. William Charles Yelverton, 4th Viscount Avonmore (27 September 1824 – 1 April 1883, Biarritz), was an Irish nobleman and soldier. He was the son of The 3rd Viscount Avonmore and Cecilia O'Keeffe. Major William Charles Yelverton gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery. He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Medjidie 5th class. He was usually known to family and friends as Charles. Marriages The Hon. Viscount Avonmore is a title in the Peerage of Ireland created on 29 December 1800 for the former Attorney-General for Ireland and Lord Chief Baron of the Exchequer for Ireland, Barry Yelverton, 1st Baron Yelverton. He had been created Baron Yelverton on 15 June 1795. The 4th Viscount fought numerous legal battles to prove that his first purported marriage to Theresa Longworth was illegal.
