Barry Telford
Barry B. Telford (October 24, 1946 – June 1, 2024) was an American politician who served in the Texas House of Representatives from 1987 to 2005. He was the Bowie County Democratic Chair from 1980 to 1986. Life Telford was born on October 24, 1946, in New Boston, Texas. He attended Texarkana Junior College and graduated from North Texas State University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. Telford died on June 1, 2024 at the age of 77. Stephen James Frost
Stephen James Frost (born March 30, 1972) is an American politician who served in the Texas House of Representatives from 2005 to 2011. Life Frost was born on March 30, 1972, to George and Monica Frost in Cass County, Texas. The Frost family moved to Maud, Texas in 1980. He graduated from Texas A&M - Texarkana with a B.S. in History. In 1997, Stephen went on to earn a J.D. degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock School of Law. In 2002, he married Kimberly Davis. Frost was elected as the representative for the 1st district of the Texas House of Representatives in the 2004 election and started the term on January 11, 2005. He also won the 2006 and 2008 elections for this seat. Texarkana Junior College
Texarkana College is a public community college in Texarkana, Texas. History Texarkana College was formed in 1927, as a branch of the Texarkana Independent School District, which voted to proceed with plans for establishment of a community college. Its first building was located at the corner of 16th and Pine Streets, and contained classrooms, laboratories, and a gymnasium, the latter two of which were used by both the college and the high school. In 1941, the citizens of Texarkana voted to create a separate Texarkana College District, complete with approval of a $20 mill property tax to fund the District. However, the local school board and the district's Board of Regents would comprise the same individuals until 1957, when the two boards voted to separate.
