Blue Mink
Blue Mink were a British six-piece pop group that existed from 1969 to 1977. Over that period they had six Top 20 hit singles in the UK Singles Chart, and released five studio based albums. According to AllMusic: "they have been immortalised on a string of compilation albums, each recounting the string of effervescent hits that established them among Britain's best-loved pop groups of the early 1970s." Career Roger Coulam (keyboards) formed the band in the autumn of 1969, with American-born Madeline Bell (vocalist), Roger Cook (vocalist), Alan Parker (guitarist), Herbie Flowers (bassist), and Barry Morgan (drummer). Most of the songs were written by Cook and Roger Greenaway. Flowers, Morgan and Parker all worked with Coulam at London's Morgan Studios. The four of them recorded several backing tracks, with which Coulam approached Bell and Greenaway, (who had been half of David and Jonathan), as vocalists. Greenaway declined, but put forward Cook (the other half of David and Jon ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

The film was severely mauled by critics and lasted just two weeks in cinemas before being pulled. Cast The film featured clips from the Nazi Germany army newsreels, various films from 20th Century Fox and other studios, as well as other propaganda films featuring Jack Benny, Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy, Milton Berle, Humphrey Bogart, Richard Burton, Neville Chamberlain, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Clark Gable, Adolf Hitler, Bob Hope, Joseph P. Kennedy, Laurel and Hardy, James Mason, Benito Mussolini, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Joseph Stalin, and James Stewart. Evita (1976 Album)
''Evita'' is a concept album released in 1976 and produced by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. Having successfully launched their previous show, ''Jesus Christ Superstar'', on record in 1970, Lloyd Webber and Rice returned to the format for ''Evita''. The album was recorded at Olympic Studios in London from April to September 1976 and released in the United Kingdom on 19 November 1976. Background Elements of the original plotline on this album were removed before the show was staged in London in 1978. "Che" here was much more explicitly based on Che Guevara, including a subplot about Guevara's failed efforts to market the insecticide Vendaval, most significantly highlighted in the song "The Lady's Got Potential". The track was cut from the score and a new song written to include the key plotline of Juan Perón's rise to power: "The Art of the Possible". The libretto and synopsis record "Part One" ending after the balcony scene following "Don't Cry for Me, Argentina" and "Part Tw ... Mallard (album)
''Mallard'' is the eponymous debut by the group Mallard, who formed after tensions between them and Captain Beefheart exploded, causing them to leave his band (though the album's last track is a Beefheart composition). It was reissued as a CD with the band's other album, ''In a Different Climate'', added on. Mallard got their start with the help of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson: he lent them his mobile studio for their work (he is thanked in the liner notes). Neither album achieved any sort of commercial success. Track listing ''Mallard'' album *All songs copyright Virgin Music Publishers Ltd.
