Barry Mills (college President)
Barry Mills (born September 8, 1950) is an American attorney and academic who served as the fourteenth president of Bowdoin College. Early life and education A native of Warwick, Rhode Island, Mills graduated ''cum laude'' with a double major in biochemistry and government from Bowdoin College in 1972. He then went on to earn a PhD in biology at Syracuse University in 1976 and a JD from Columbia University in 1979, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Upon graduating, he soon began working at the law firm, Debevoise & Plimpton, where he became a partner in 1986. Career A member of the Board of Trustees from 1994 through 2000, Mills became president of Bowdoin College in October 2001. Since then, Mills has dramatically changed Bowdoin's curriculum and campus. Barry Mills (Aryan Brotherhood)
Barry Byron Mills (July 7, 1948 – July 8, 2018) was an American convicted criminal and leader of the Aryan Brotherhood (AB) prison gang. Nicknamed “The Baron”, Mills was incarcerated in the California state prison system at a young age, where he rose within the AB organization during the 1970s and 80s. Biography Mills, from Windsor, California, was first incarcerated in 1967, and jailed for a year in a county lockup. He entered the California state prison system after an armed robbery in 1969, and was in jail from then on. He became involved with the AB in San Quentin Prison, where the group originated in 1964. He was convicted of nearly decapitating another inmate, John Marsloff, over a gambling debt at USP Atlanta in 1979. According to a federal indictment, Mills was involved in the consolidation of the AB power structure in 1980, where he assumed a seat in a three-member "federal commission" for the gang. Barry Mills is an American film producer, director, writer, and voice actor. Mills grew up in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Early work Barry Mills started his career by writing and producing promos and bumpers for TBS and TNT in the early 1990s. As a hobby, he videotaped live bands such as the Mekons, Butthole Surfers, and Sonic Youth. Mills also started Atlanta's first underground hip-hop radio show "Macadocious In Effect" on WRFG, which featured a host of guest DJs including the debut of Lil Jon. Rudy and GoGo In 1995 Barry and his friend, author Jack Pendarvis, created the TV show ''The Rudy and Gogo World Famous Cartoon Show'' for TBS, but ended up getting picked up by TNT and premiered in July of '95.
