Brad Barritt
Bradley Barritt (born 7 August 1986) is a South African-born former rugby union player. He played the position of centre. Early life Barritt attended Kearsney College. Career Barritt's debut season was in 2006 for the and Sharks in the Currie Cup and Super 14. He had the ability to occasionally play fly half and did so to great effect in the 2006 Currie Cup season when perennially injured provincial team-mate Butch James was absent from the squad. However, due to the emergence of Francois Steyn at the coastal franchise, Barritt's opportunity to play fly half was curtailed, leading to him finding a more settled role as the Sharks' first-choice inside centre. Barritt played in the 2007 Super 14 Final, losing by a solitary point to the Bulls. He signed for the English Premiership side Saracens, and joined them after winning the 2008 Currie Cup. Brian Sydney Barritt (1934–2011) was an English author, artist, and counterculture figure. He served in the British army, and was a friend and collaborator to such notables as Timothy Leary, William Burroughs, and Alex Trocchi. He was particularly active in the Beatnik, psychedelic, and Krautrock scenes. Books Barritt was the author of several books, including ''Whisper'', ''The Road of Excess: A Psychedelic Autobiography'' and ''The Nabob of Bombasta''. He also collaborated with Timothy Leary on his book, ''Confessions of a Hope Fiend''. Daniel Barritt (born 23 August 1980) is a British World Rally Championship co-driver from England. Background Barritt was born in Burnley, UK. His family has been involved in rallying for three generations. His grandfather, for example, was a navigator (in the 1950s) and his dad adopted the same activity two decades later, at which point Barritt started going along with his dad. This piqued his interest from a very young age. He thinks he saw his very first rally from his bassinet. Death Of Azaria Chamberlain
Azaria Chantel Loren Chamberlain (11 June 1980 – 17 August 1980) was a nine-week-old Australian baby girl who was killed by a dingo on the night of the 17 August 1980 during a family camping trip to Uluru in the Northern Territory. Her body was never found. Her parents, Lindy and Michael Chamberlain, reported that she had been taken from their tent by a dingo. However, Lindy was tried for murder and spent more than three years in prison, despite there being "no body, no evidence of motive and no eyewitness evidence that even vaguely incriminated the Chamberlains" and that "it appears that none of these witnesses—campers, rangers, trackers, searchers or local police who initially attended the scene—doubted that the baby had been taken by a dingo". John Barritt
Frederick John Barritt CBE (14 February 1916 – 13 May 2014) was a Bermudian politician and businessman. He served as the Speaker of the House of Assembly of Bermuda from 1979 to 1989. Besides this, he served more than three decades in Bermudian politics, serving as Deputy Speaker and Minister of Transportation during his time in politics. He graduated from Saltus Grammar School, also serving a storied business career. From 1933 to 1970, he was with Powell and Company, serving as the managing director until the company was acquired by Purvis Limited. He died on 13 May 2014. Joseph Barritt (1816 – 17 August 1881) was a pastoralist and politician in the colony of South Australia. History Barritt was born in Hazeleigh, near Maldon, Essex, and emigrated to South Australia on the ''Anna Robertson'' in 1839 with an introduction to John Barton Hack, a fellow Quaker for whom he ran a farm. He next ran a farm for John Richardson, later taking up his own properties "Woodlands" around 1856 then "Riverside" around 1859, both in the Lyndoch Valley. He was for several years partner with Walter Duffield in a pastoral lease adjacent to the Burra Special Survey. Leon Barritt (1852–1938) was an American illustrator, cartoonist, journalist, and amateur astronomer. He produced a famous cartoon satirizing Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst, co-invented with Garrett P. Serviss the Barritt–Serviss Star and Planet Finder, a popular star chart sold into the 1950s, and, after losing his artistic ability to paralysis, founded ''The Monthly Evening Sky Map'' magazine. Robert Barritt
Robert Vaughan Barritt ( – June 21, 2015) was a Bermudian artist, painter and politician. He served in the House of Assembly of Bermuda from 1985 to 1989 representing Pembroke East Central, marking the only time that the United Bermuda Party (UBP) held that particular constituency. Barritt held the post of Minister of Community and Cultural Affairs during his tenure in the House of Assembly. Barritt was later appointed to the Senate of Bermuda as a member of the UBP. He was a member of the Barritts, a prominent Bermudian political and business family which owns Barritt's Ginger Beer.
