Operational history The missile was unveiled on 13 March 2015 being fired from the NESCOM Burraq unmanned combat aerial vehicle, capable of destroying both stationary and moving targets. On 28 November 2021 it was displayed being fired from Shahpar-II UCAV. Its first operational use was carried out against militants in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, on 6 September 2015, successfully eliminating three high-value targets. The Shahpar ll is an Unmanned combat aerial vehicle, unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) built by Global Industrial Defence Solutions of Pakistan. It is currently in production following the completion of a test and qualification phase. According to an engineer of AERO (Advanced Engineering Research Organisation), one of the seven companies forming the GIDS consortium, the only parts of the Shahpar aircraft system not produced in Pakistan are the engine and tyres. The sensor suite, a multi-sensor turret designated "Zumr-II (EO/IR)", is built at an AERO facility near Islamabad. The design features a pusher engine with canard foreplanes in front of the wings. The PARS 3 LR in German service, also known as TRIGAT-LR (Third Generation AntiTank, Long Range) and AC 3G in French, is a fire-and-forget missile, which can be used against air or ground targets. It is intended for long range applications and designed to defeat tanks, helicopters and other individual targets, while minimizing the exposure of the launch vehicle to enemy fire.
