Saint-François (electoral District)
Saint-François is a provincial electoral district in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada that elects members to the National Assembly of Quebec. It notably includes parts of the city of Sherbrooke as well as the municipalities of Coaticook and Compton. It was created for the 1973 election from parts of Compton, Richmond and Sherbrooke electoral districts. In the change from the 2001 to the 2011 electoral map, it gained territory from Orford and Mégantic-Compton electoral districts, and also gained the Brompton borough of Sherbrooke from Johnson electoral district. Coaticook
Coaticook () is a town on the Coaticook River in southeastern Quebec, Canada. It is the seat of the Coaticook Regional County Municipality, and its southern border is also the Canada–United States border. In addition to the primary community of Coaticook, smaller communities that are now within the municipal boundaries include Baldwin's Mills, Barnston, Ladd's Mills and Stanhope, the last of which was a separate community in the 1890s and used to have the small private Stanhope Airport. Name The municipality is named after the Coaticook River. The name “Coaticook” is of Abenaki origin, deriving from the term “koatikeku”, which means “''where the river is bordered by white pines''”. Hatley, Quebec (municipality)
Hatley is a municipality of about 771 people, in Memphrémagog Regional County Municipality in the Estrie region of Quebec, Canada. It lies to the south of the township municipality of the same name. An otherwise quiet and tiny agricultural setting, one of Hatley's main claims to fame is its annual Canada Day Celebration which always takes place on July 1.
