Barney Rock
Barney Rock (born 10 January 1961) is a former Gaelic footballer and Manager (Gaelic games), manager at club and inter-county level (he managed Westmeath county football team, Westmeath in the mid-1990s). Biography Born in Ballymun, but growing up in Glasnevin, Dublin, Rock attended St Kevins College, Ballygall. He played Gaelic football with his local club Ballymun Kickhams and was a senior member of the Dublin county football team, Dublin county team from 1980 until 1991. He won the 1983 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship with Dublin in 1983 at Croke Park against Galway GAA, Galway. Rock was also chosen to play in the 1984 International Rules Series, first International Rules Series against Australia international rules football team, Australia in 1984. The Galway County Boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) ( ga, Cumann Lúthchleas Gael Coiste Chontae na Gaillimhe) or Galway GAA are one of the 32 county boards in Ireland; they are responsible for Gaelic games in County Galway, and for the Galway county teams. Galway is one of the few dual counties in Ireland, competing in a similar level in both hurling and football codes. Ballymun Kickhams Gaelic Footballers
Ballymun () is an outer suburb of Dublin, Ireland, at the northern edge of the Northside, the green-field development of which began in the 1960s to accommodate a housing crisis in inner city areas of Dublin. While the newly built housing was state-of-the-art at the time, comprising high-rise tower blocks and flat complexes, residents were moved in years before shops, schools and other infrastructure were fully ready, and the area became well known for both a strong community spirit and considerable social challenges. Ballymun has several sub-districts such as Sillogue, Coultry, Shangan and Poppintree, and is close to both the Republic of Ireland's only IKEA store and to Dublin Airport. Dean Rock (born 26 February 1990) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who has been a senior member of the Dublin county team since 2013. He has represented Dublin at all grades, Minor, Junior, U21 and Senior. He is a noted free taker and scored the winning point from a free in the 2017 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final. Colm O'Rourke has described Rock as "statistically the best free taker that has been to Croke Park". Progressive Democrats
The Progressive Democrats ( ga, An Páirtí Daonlathach, literally "The Democratic Party" ), commonly referred to as the PDs, was a conservative-liberal political party in the Republic of Ireland. St Sylvester's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Malahide, Fingal, Ireland. The club was founded in 1903 and last won the Dublin Senior Football Championship in 1996.
