''Barney's Barrier Reef'' is a British documentary program launched by the CBBC in 2009, presented by Barney Harwood and Gemma Hunt. Barney Harwood
Barnaby John "Barney" Harwood (born 7 November 1979) is a British actor and television presenter. He is known for his work with CBBC beginning in 2002. Career Television For CBBC, Harwood presented '' Prank Patrol'' and was a voice-over commentator for ''The Smokehouse'', while on BBC Two, he co-presented ''Basil's Swap Shop'' (a remake of ''Multi-Coloured Swap Shop''), alongside Basil Brush. Previous work for CBBC included gameshow '' Crush'' in 2004, ''Sport Relief Gets Sub'd!'', a Sport Relief 2006 show and as co-presenter of ''Smile'', which aired each Sunday on BBC Two until 26 August 2007 and saw him win a Children's BAFTA for best presenter. Gemma Hunt
Gemma Hunt (born 1 April 1982) is a British presenter who also used to be on the CBBC TV series '' Xchange''. CBBC Hunt joined the CBBC continuity team in 2002, since then she has presented on the CBBC Channel and also on BBC One and BBC Two. In 2004, she was noticed by CBBC series '' Xchange'' and later became a presenter until its close in 2006. She continued to present CBBC until its revamp in 2007. As well as her presenting duties she has made guest appearances on ''Blue Peter'' and '' Smile''. More recently she guest presented the food special of ''Best of Friends'' alongside Ortis Deley. Great Barrier Reef
The Great Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral reef system composed of over 2,900 individual reefs and 900 islands stretching for over over an area of approximately . The reef is located in the Coral Sea, off the coast of Queensland, Australia, separated from the coast by a channel 100 miles wide in places and over 200 feet deep. The Great Barrier Reef can be seen from outer space and is the world's biggest single structure made by living organisms. This reef structure is composed of and built by billions of tiny organisms, known as coral polyps. It supports a wide diversity of life and was selected as a World Heritage Site in 1981. Fish
