Barnaby Metschurat
Barnaby Metschurat (born 22 September 1974, in Berlin) is a German actor. He completed his training at the school ''Die Etage'' in Berlin. One of his first television roles was in 1993 as Kaspar Riedel in the German TV series '' Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht''. He participates in cinema and television films and series. In 2000 he played "Rosencrantz" in Peter Zadek's critically acclaimed production of ''Hamlet''. He won the Best New Actor category at the 2002 Bavarian Film Awards (Best Acting). In the films ''L'Auberge espagnole'' (2002) and its sequel ''The Russian Dolls'' (2006), he played the role of the German, Tobias. He also starred in '' Solino'' (2002) and ''Anatomy 2'' (2003). Unser Lehrer Doktor Specht (Our teacher Doctor Specht) is a series of family author Kurt Bartsch, directors Werner Masten (episodes 1-57), Vera Loebner (episodes 58-63) and Karin Hercher (episodes 64-70), shooting starting in 1991 in Germany. The episodes had a length of 52 (first season) or 46 minutes (second to fifth season). For subsequent repetitions of the episodes of the first season, the episodes were cut to about 45 minutes. In addition, they were provided with an alternative, shorter end credits sequence, which was also designed in a different font. Rosencrantz And Guildenstern
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are characters in William Shakespeare's tragedy ''Hamlet''. They are childhood friends of Hamlet, summoned by King Claudius to distract the prince from his apparent madness and if possible to ascertain the cause of it. The characters were revived in W. S. Gilbert's satire, ''Rosencrantz and Guildenstern'', and as the alienated heroes of Tom Stoppard's absurdist play, ''Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead'', which was adapted into a film. Peter Zadek
Peter Zadek (; 19 May 1926 – 30 July 2009) was a German director of theatre, opera and film, a translator and a screenwriter. He is regarded as one of the greatest directors in German-speaking theater. Biography Peter Zadek was born on 19 May 1926 to a Jewish family in Berlin. In 1934, he emigrated with his family to London where he later studied at Old Vic theatre, after a year at Oxford University. He began in weekly rep in Swansea and Pontypridd. He studied at the Old Vic, and his first productions included Oscar Wilde’s '' Salome'' and T. S. Eliot’s ''Sweeney Agonistes''. Zadek caused a stir in London in the late 1950s with his productions of works by Jean Genet.
