Barisal Blazers
The Barisal Division cricket team or Barisal Blazers is a Bangladeshi first-class team representing the Barisal Division, one of the seven administrative regions in Bangladesh. The team competes in the National Cricket League and was formerly a participant in the now-defunct National Cricket League One-Day. In the short-lived National Cricket League Twenty20 competition, played in the 2009–10 season only, Barisal played in their official green and black colors. The equivalent team in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is the Barisal Bulls. Barisal's home ground is the Barisal Divisional Stadium, also known as the Abdur Rab Serniabad Stadium, which has a 15,000 capacity. First-class Cricket
First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is one of three or more days' scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all. The etymology of "first-class cricket" is unknown, but it was used loosely before it acquired official status in 1895, following a meeting of leading English clubs. At a meeting of the Imperial Cricket Conference (ICC) in 1947, it was formally defined on a global basis. Nuruzzaman (Barisal Division Cricketer)
Nuruzzaman (born 20 October 1994) is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays for Barisal Division. In September 2017, he scored his maiden first-class century playing for Barisal Division against Khulna Division in the 2017–18 National Cricket League. Shahriar Nafees
Shahriar Nafees Ahmed ( bn, শাহরিয়ার নাফীস আহমেদ; born: 1 May 1985) is a former Bangladeshi cricketer, who played all formats of the game, and was also a former T20I captain for Bangladesh.He made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Bangladesh in 2005 against England, and later the same year played his first Test. In 2008 he joined the Indian Cricket League (ICL) as part of the Dhaka Warriors. The members of the team were given 10-year bans by the Bangladesh Cricket Board which were lifted when they left the league. Nafees has since returned to the national team. Domestically he played for Barisal Division. In February 2021, Nafees announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. 2016-17 Bangladeshi Cricket Season
16-17 is a band from Basel, Switzerland. Their music combines punk rock, hardcore punk, jazz and industrial music. Biography 16-17 was founded in 1983 by Alex Buess, Knut Remond and Markus Kneubühler. When the group played its first concerts in 1983 it was received with controversial reactions: there where hardly any groups that played in an approximately similar style. Only some years later around 1986 groups like Painkiller, Last Exit or The Flying Luttenbachers appeared . They played a similar mix of rough noise, heavily amplified instruments and free jazz inspired improvisation. 1983 to 1994 the group did a lot of tours and played many gigs all over Europe, Japan and USA. 2011–12 Bangladeshi Cricket Season
The 2011–12 Bangladeshi cricket season is when the increase in the National Cricket League (NCL) championship teams from six to eight. Following creation of Rangpur Division in January 2010 as the country's seventh administrative region, the NCL in 2011–12 was expanded to eight teams with the introduction of the Rangpur team and the return of Dhaka Metropolis, although they had no settled home venue. Rajshahi Division won the championship title in the fourth consecutive season. Bangladesh co-hosted with India and Sri Lanka the 2011 Cricket World Cup from February to April 2011 during the 2010–11 Bangladeshi cricket season, also featuring a limited overs international series between Bangladesh and New Zealand.
