Baridhara
Baridhara ( bn, বারিধারা) is an upscale residential area in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is located on the east of and north east of Gulshan across Gulshan-Baridhara Lake. It has special zones designated for diplomats, and many of the city's foreign embassies and high commissions are situated here. There are mainly three areas diplomatic zone mainly in the south-west portion, general residential area in eastern portion and an adjacent DOHS area in north-east portion. Economy US-Bangla Airlines has its headquarters in the Baridhara Diplomatic Zone. Gulshan Thana
Gulshan ( bn, গুলশান) is a thana situated in Dhaka, Bangladesh. It is an affluent residential and business neighbourhood; and is now home to a number of the city's restaurants, shopping centres, schools, banks, members' clubs and hosts the majority of embassies and high commissions in Bangladesh. Many Bangladeshi and international companies have their offices in Gulshan. History In the place of this suburb there was an old village named ''Bhola''. Gulshan was founded as a planned model town in 1961 with its own Pourashabha (''municipal corporation''), while the neighbouring Banani Model Town was founded in 1964. Jamal Uddin Ahmad
Jamal Uddin Ahmad (c. 1929 – 3 January 2015) was a Bangladeshi politician and accountant. He served as the Deputy Prime Minister of Bangladesh from 1977 until 1982. He also served as the former President of the South Asian Federation of Accountants, as well as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh for two terms. In 1954, Ahmad received a master's degree in commerce from the University of Dhaka. Ahmad died at his home in the Baridhara neighborhood in Dhaka at approximately 10p.m. on 3 January 2015, at the age of 85. Gulshan Lake
Gulshan Lake is a lake in Dhaka, Bangladesh, that borders Gulshan Thana, Shahjadpur, and Baridhara Diplomatic Zone. Shahnaz Rahmatullah (; 2 January 1952 – 23 March 2019) was a Bangladeshi singer. Her notable songs are ''Ekbar Jete De Na Amar Chotto Sonar Gaye'', ''Je Chilo Drishtir Shimanay'' and ''Ek Tara Tui Desher Kotha''.
