Levy Barent Cohen (1747 – 1808) was a Dutch-born British financier and community worker. Early life Levy Barent Cohen was born in Amsterdam in 1747. Barent Gardenier
Barent Gardenier (July 28, 1776 – January 10, 1822) was an American lawyer and politician from New York. He was a United States representative from 1807 to 1811. Biography Barent Gardenier was born in Kinderhook, New York on July 28, 1776. He received a liberal education, studied law at Litchfield Law School and was admitted to the bar. In November 1801 he married Sally (Sarah) Lawrence. Gardenier practiced in Kingston, New York and was also editor and publisher of a Federalist newspaper, the ''New York Courier''. He was elected as a Federalist to the 10th and 11th United States Congresses, and served from March 4, 1807, to March 3, 1811. Barent Gael ( – 1698) was a Dutch Golden Age landscape painter. Biography Gael was born in Haarlem. According to Houbraken, he was a pupil of Philips Wouwerman, who painted many battle pieces and ''staging areas'' (Dutch: ''pleisterplaatsen''). He was in the habit of keeping his own schedule at the risk of offending customers – Houbraken relates a moment when a patron came to his house for a viewing and he claimed he "wasn't at home". Barent Philip Staats (born September 25, 1796) was the mayor of Albany, New York. Staats ran as a Democrat and defeated John Townsend ( Whig) by 336 votes in 1842. The next year he doesn't run for reelection, and Friend Humphrey (Whig) defeated Peter Gansevoort by 226 votes. Barend Mons (born 1957, The Hague) is a molecular biologist by training and a leading FAIR data specialist. The first decade of his scientific career he spent on fundamental research on malaria parasites and later on translational research for malaria vaccines. In the year 2000 he switched to advanced data stewardship and (biological) systems analytics. He is currently a professor in Leiden and most known for innovations in scholarly collaboration, especially nanopublications, knowledge graph based discovery and most recently the FAIR data initiative and GO FAIR. Since 2012 he is a Professor in biosemantics in the Department of Human Genetics at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC) in The Netherlands.
