Barbarossa (video Game)
is a 1992 Japan-exclusive Super Famicom strategy video game that revolves around Nazi Germany's involvement in the World War II campaign called ''Operation Barbarossa''. The game was originally ported from the Japanese personal computer to the Super Famicom. Gameplay The player fights on the Eastern Front of World War II as a senior officer in the Wehrmacht. The object is to capture Moscow and the player is given a timeline between 1941 and 1945 to do so. Cut scenes displayed before the start of the game, in between missions, and after the end of the campaign help to tell the story of the rise and fall of Nazi Germany. A map of Europe that starts in Berlin and ends about hundreds of miles east of Moscow. There are a total of 11 missions in the campaign plus a two-part final mission that portrays the Battle of Berlin. SystemSoft Alpha
SystemSoft Alpha Corporation is a Japanese software development company. Formerly just "SystemSoft", they have a long series of mainly military strategic simulation games (generally hex-based) popular in the Japan market. Notable among these are the many ''Daisenryaku'' and ''Master of Monsters'' series games that have been ported to multiple platforms from PCs to consoles. In 1998, SystemSoft spun off their video game business into SystemSoft Production. In 1999, Alpha Shock was founded, and SystemSoft invested 25.1% of the initial capital. In 2001, SystemSoft sold all investments of Alpha Shock, and they transferred the video game business from SystemSoft Production to Alpha Shock. Alpha Shock were renamed to SystemSoft Alpha, although they are independent from SystemSoft. The Super Nintendo has a library of games, which were released in plastic encased ROM cartridges. The cartridges are shaped differently for different regions; North American cartridges have a rectangular bottom with inset grooves matching protruding tabs in the console, while other regions' cartridges are narrower with a smooth curve on the front and no grooves. The physical incompatibility can be overcome with use of various adapters, or through modification of the console. Internally, a regional lockout chip within the console and in each cartridge prevents PAL region games from being played on Japanese or North American consoles and vice versa. is a Japan-exclusive video game created by General Support which was originally released for the NEC PC-9801, and later ported for the Super Famicom. The Super Famicom version of the game would become the prequel to '' Koutetsu no Kishi 2: Sabaku no Rommel Shougun'' and '' Koutetsu no Kishi 3: Gekitotsu Europe Sensen''. There was an expansion pack for the original NEC PC-9801 version titled ; which added a new scenario.
