''The Sword of the Barbarians'' ( it, Sangraal, la spada di fuoco/ ''Sangraal, the Sword of Fire'') is a 1982 sword and sorcery film written and directed by Michele Massimo Tarantini and starring Peter McCoy and Sabrina Siani. The film is also known as ''Barbarian Master'' and ''Thor the Horrible''. Michele Massimo Tarantini
Michele Massimo Tarantini (born 7 August 1942) is an Italian film director. Life and career Born in Corato, Bari, at young age Tarantini was assumed by the production company Dania Cinematografica, for which he held various positions including secretary of production, set designer, film editor and assistant director for Sergio Martino, Giuliano Carnimeo, Nando Cicero and Mariano Laurenti. Tarantini made his directorial debut in 1973 with a giallo-crime film, ''Seven Hours of Violence'', but his first commercial success was the 1975 Commedia sexy all'italiana, sexy comedy ''La liceale'', which launched the career of Gloria Guida. Since then, Tarantini became one of the prominent and most successful directors in the commedia sexy all'italiana film genre. , also known as , is a Japanese-born actor, dancer, choreographer and writer. He has resided in Italy since 1975 and holds Italian citizenship. Piero Regnoli (1921–2001) was an Italian screenwriter and film director. Career Born in 1921, Regnoli worked in the film industry between 1953 and 1991 where he wrote over 110 screenplays and directed 11 films. Regnoli's work ranged from sword-and-sandal films, westerns, horror and sexy comedies. His final film where he was officially credited as a director was ''La principessa sul pisello'' in 1976.
