Barbara Müller (rower)
Barbara Müller ( Reichel; born 29 September 1937), is a rower who represented East Germany in the 1960s. She was later a rowing coach for SG Dynamo Potsdam. Rowing career Reichel was born in 1937. She started for SCW DHfK Leipzig and at the 1957 East German national championships she came third with the women's eight. A year later, she again came third at the nationals. At the 1959 nationals, she came second. In 1959, she also competed in the coxed quad scull and that team came second. At the 1960 East German national championships she came first with the coxed four. That team was sent to the 1960 European Rowing Championships in London where they won a bronze medal, beaten by the teams from the Soviet Union and from Romania. At the 1961 East German national championships she became national champion with both the coxed four and the women's eight. Roswietha Zobelt ( Reichel, born 24 November 1954) is a German rower who competed for East Germany in the 1976 Summer Olympics and in the 1980 Summer Olympics. Early life She was born in Rittersgrün in 1954. She grew up around athletics as a summer sport and skiing in winter. In Johanngeorgenstadt, one of the towns of her native Erzgebirgskreis district, she was spotted by rowing coaches who were impressed by her physical appearance; In 1970 she stood 6ft 2in tall, and they convinced Zolbelt to move to near the Beetzsee to take up rowing. Martina Schröter (born 16 November 1960) is a German rower, who competed for the SG Dynamo Potsdam / Sportvereinigung (SV) Dynamo. She won the medals at the international rowing competitions. The Banner of Labor () was an order issued in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). It was given for "excellent and long-standing service in strengthening and consolidating the GDR, especially for achieving outstanding results for the national economy". The order was established on 4 August 1954 in one class. On 8 August 1974 it was divided into three classes. 1974 World Rowing Championships
The 1974 World Rowing Championships was the fourth World Rowing Championships. It was held from 4 to 8 September 1974 (for men) and from 29 August to 1 September 1974 (for women) on the Rotsee in Lucerne, Switzerland. The event was significantly extended from the 1970 edition, with the addition of both women's and lightweight men's events. Six women boat classes were added, three lightweight men classes, plus quad scull for men, increasing the number of boat classes from seven in 1970 to seventeen in 1974. This was also the last World Championships held on a quadrennial cycle – from this point, World Championships were held annually.
