Barbara Howard (actress)
Barbara Howard (born 1956) is an American psychotherapist and retired actress, who remains best known for her roles in the film '' Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter'' and in the television series ''Falcon Crest'' as Melissa Agretti's cousin Robin Agretti. She retired from acting in 2000 to pursue her current career in psychotherapy. Early life Howard was born in Chicago, Illinois and grew up in Palatine, Illinois. She graduated from William Fremd High School in 1974, and later graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree before going to England to study acting at Richmond, The American International University in London. Career Howard began her career in Chicago area theater before moving to Los Angeles in April 1983 to pursue a career in acting there. She made her film debut in Racing with the Moon before landing a more significant role in '' Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter''. ''Where's Marlowe?'' is a 1998 comedy mystery film written by Daniel Pyne and John Mankiewicz. Daniel Pyne also directed the film, which stars Miguel Ferrer, Mos Def, John Slattery, and John Livingston. Plot After making a three-hour fiasco about New York City's water supply, a two-man film crew decides to take it up a notch by documenting life in the private investigator offices of "Boone and Murphy". Cheating husbands and missing dogs fail to bring in the big bucks however, and after sleeping with the wife of one of their clients Murphy leaves. To stop Boone from having to close down the business the two film-makers must resort to a hands-on approach in the investigations to ensure the completion of their movie. Set in Chicago, Illinois, it follows the adventures of a man who mysteriously receives each ''Chicago Sun-Times'' newspaper the day before it is actually published, and who uses this knowledge to prevent terrible events every day. ''Millennium'' is an American television series created by Chris Carter (creator of ''The X-Files''), which aired on Fox from October 25, 1996, to May 21, 1999. ''CBS Summer Playhouse'' is an American anthology series that ran from June 12, 1987 to August 22, 1989 on CBS. It aired unsold television pilots during the summer season. Overview Tim Reid and Daphne Maxwell Reid acted as hosts during the first season, introducing each pilot. Viewers were also encouraged to call a 1-800 number at the end of each episode, to voice their preference. However, the "winning" pilot chosen by the viewers was never picked up as a series. The series was revamped during the second and third seasons, and featured no hosts or viewer voting. Reception David Bianculli of ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'' criticized the anthology series, writing that it "may be the most inaccurate title ever given to a TV program".
