Barbara Asher Ayisi
Barbara Asher Ayisi (born 12 February 1976) is a Ghanaian politician and the former Member of Parliament of the Cape Coast North constituency in the Central Region of Ghana. She is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and was the former deputy minister for Education in Ghana. She was appointed as the chairperson for the Women's Premier League Super Cup's Local Organizing Committee (LOC). Early life and education Barbara Asher Ayisi was born on 12 February 1976 in Effutu, Central Region of Ghana. She is an alumna of Our Lady of Apostles (OLA) College of Education and the University of Education, Winneba. She holds a master's degree in English literature from the University of Cape Coast. 2020 Ghanaian General Election
General elections were held in Ghana on 7 December 2020. Incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was re-elected in the first round after securing a majority of the votes. Former President John Dramani Mahama says he will contest the results. The NPP lost its majority in the parliament, winning just as many seats as the opposition NDC, resulting in a hung parliament with a single independent (Andrew Asiamah Amoako) in the position of kingmaker. Convention People's Party
The Convention People's Party (CPP) is a Socialism, socialist political party in Ghana based on the ideas of the first President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. The CPP was formed in June 1949 after Nkrumah broke away from the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC). Nkrumah was the then appointed Secretaty General of the UGCC when he was arrested by the leader of the UGCC and imprisoned for an alleged thought, plans and power against Kwame Nkrumah's leadership. Kwame Nkrumah then formed the Convention People's Party with support of some UGCC members and had a purpose for self governance. Progressive People's Party (PPP) ( ak, Kɔ anim ɔmanfo Apontow) is a political party in Ghana.
