Barack Hussein Obama Sr.
Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (; born Baraka Obama, 18 June 1934 – 24 November 1982) was a Kenyan senior governmental economist and the father of Barack Obama, the List of presidents of the United States, 44th president of the United States. He is a central figure of his son's memoir, ''Dreams from My Father'' (1995). Obama married in 1954 and had two children with his first wife, Kezia. He was selected for a special program to attend college in the United States and studied at the University of Hawaii where he met Ann Dunham, Stanley Ann Dunham, whom he married in 1961 following the conception of his son, Barack. Obama and Dunham divorced three years later. Obama then went to Harvard University for graduate school, where he earned an M.A. in economics, and returned to Kenya in 1964. Rachuonyo District was an districts of Kenya, administrative district in the Nyanza Province of Kenya. Its capital town was Kosele, and previously, Oyugis. The district had a population of 307,126 (1999 census) and an area of 945 km². The district had two constituencies, Kasipul Kabondo Constituency, Kasipul Kabondo and Karachuonyo Constituency, Karachuonyo, which have been part of Homa Bay County since 2010. ''Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance'' (1995) is a memoir by Barack Obama that explores the events of his early years in Honolulu and Chicago until his entry into Harvard Law School in 1988. Obama originally published his memoir in 1995, when he was starting his political campaign for the Illinois Senate. After Obama won the U.S. Senate Democratic primary victory in Illinois in 2004, the book was re-published that year. The Luo are a Nilotic peoples, Nilotic-speaking ethnic group native to Nyanza Province, western Kenya and the Mara Region of northern Tanzania. The Luo are the fourth-largest ethnic group (10.65%) in Kenya, after the Kikuyu people, Kikuyu (17.13%), the Luhya people, Luhya (14.35%) and the Kalenjin people, Kalenjin (13.37%). The Tanzanian Luo population was estimated at 1.1 million in 2001 and 3.4 million in 2020. They are part of a larger group of related Luo peoples who inhabit an area ranging from South Sudan, southwestern Ethiopia, northern and eastern Uganda, southwestern Kenya, and northern Tanzania, making them one of the largest ethnic groups in East Africa. Siaya District
Siaya District was a district of Nyanza Province in the south western part of Kenya. It was bordered by Busia District to the North, Vihiga and Butere/Mumias Districts to the North-East, Bondo District to the South, and Kisumu District to the southeast. The total area of the district was approximately 1520 km2. In 1968, Central Nyanza District was split into Siaya and Kisumu districts. Between 2000 and 2009, Siaya district was divided into Siaya, Bondo and Rarieda districts. The districts had a combined population of 842,304 in the 2009 census. Kendu Bay is a bay and town in Kenya. The area is the part of Rachuonyo North District in Homa Bay County. Overview It is located on the shores of Lake Victoria along Katito-Homa-Bay road. It is the headquarters of the district. Kisumu, the largest urban centre and city in Kenya's western region, is located 40 kilometres north of Kendu Bay, but the route to Kisumu, which goes via Ahero, is much longer as it circumvents Winam Gulf in between kisumu- Ahero- Katito- Kendu Bay is 70 km from Kisumu city. Jomo Kenyatta (22 August 1978) was a Kenyan anti-colonial activist and politician who governed Kenya as its Prime Minister from 1963 to 1964 and then as its first President from 1964 to his death in 1978.
