Bapulapadu Mandal
Bapulapadu mandal is one of the 25 mandals in Krishna district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The headquarters of this mandal is located at Bapulapadu town. The mandal is bordered by Nuzvid mandal and Agiripalle mandal to the north, West Godavari district to the east, Nandivada mandal to the south and Unguturu mandal to the west. The total population constituted 42,406 males and 42,516 females, for a sex ratio of 1,003 females per 1000 males. Nuzvid mandal is one of the 28 mandals in Eluru district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is under the administration of Nuzvid revenue division, with headquarters at Nuzvid. The mandal is bounded by Reddigudem, Vissannapeta, Chatrai, Mylavaram Agiripalli, Bapulapadu and Musunuru mandals. Mandal in Andhra Pradesh, India is a sub-District. History The Mandal system came into existence as an administrative reform, as part of reducing the size of erstwhile taluks and making them more effective and manageable. The decentralisation of taluks into mandals was done with a two-pronged strategy of modernising the revenue administration, record-keeping as well as further decentralising the panchayati raj system. It was hoped that the division of erstwhile large Talukas into mandals could make them more manageable, and also that the administration of the state government, especially the revenue administration, will become monitored closely. Census Of India
The decennial Census of India has been conducted 16 times, as of 2021. While it has been undertaken every 10 years, beginning in 1872 under British Viceroy Lord Mayo, the first complete census was taken in 1881. Post 1949, it has been conducted by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. All the censuses since 1951 were conducted under the 1948 Census of India Act. The last census was held in 2011, whilst the next was to be held in 2021.
