Baptist Churches In Vietnam
The Baptist Convention of Vietnam ( vi, Giáo hội Báp-tít Việt Nam) is a Baptist Christian denomination in Vietnam. It is affiliated with the Baptist World Alliance. The headquarters is in Ho Chi Minh City. History The Convention has its origins in an American mission of the International Mission Board in 1959, in Ho Chi Minh City. It is officially founded in 1989. According to a census published by the association in 2023, it claimed 509 churches and 51,000 members. Baptist World Alliance
The Baptist World Alliance (BWA) is the largest international Baptist organization with an estimated 51 million people in 2022 with 246 member bodies in 128 countries and territories. A voluntary association of Baptist churches, the BWA accounts for about half the Baptists in the world. It is the 8th largest Christian communion. International Mission Board
The International Mission Board (or IMB, formerly the Foreign Mission Board) is a Christian missionary society affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC). Born Again
Born again, or to experience the new birth, is a phrase, particularly in evangelicalism, that refers to a "spiritual rebirth", or a regeneration of the human spirit. In contrast to one's physical birth, being "born again" is distinctly and separately caused by baptism in the Holy Spirit, it is not caused by baptism in water. It is a core doctrine of the denominations of the Anabaptist, Moravian, Methodist, Quaker, Baptist, Plymouth Brethren and Pentecostal Churches along with all other evangelical Christian denominations. Worship Service (evangelicalism)
A church service (or a service of worship) is a formalized period of Christian communal worship, often held in a church building.
