Bansjore block (also spelled Bansjor) is a CD block that forms an administrative division in the Simdega subdivision of Simdega district, in the Indian state of Jharkhand. History Gumla district was carved out of Ranchi district in 1983. Till 30 April 2001, Simdega was a subdivision of Gumla district and was made a separate district from that date. Maoist activities According to a PIB release in 2018, Simdega is one of the thirty districts most affected by Left wing extremism in the country (along with twelve other districts of Jharkhand). “The terrain of the district is very tough and geography is favourable for naxal activities.” All police stations in the district are well fortified and equipped to handle the situation. Simdega Subdivision
Simdega subdivision is an administrative subdivision of the Simdega district in the South Chotanagpur division in the state of Jharkhand, India. History Simdega subdivision was established in 1915 and was one of the four subdivisions of Ranchi district. In 1983, it became a part of the Gumla district when the latter was formed and in 2001, it became a part of the Simdega district when the latter was formed. Overview Simdega district has only one subdivision – Simdega subdivision. Simdega is a city in the Indian state of Jharkhand. Simdega is the administrative headquarters of the eponymous district and Subdivision. The city stands at an elevation of approximately 418 metres (1371 feet) above sea level and covers an area of . Simdega district is one of the twenty-four districts of Jharkhand state, India, and Simdega town is the administrative headquarters of this district. This district is the least population density district of jharkhand(2011).This district was carved out from erstwhile Gumla district on 30 April 2001. It is currently a part of the Red Corridor.
