Banqiao Stadium
The Banqiao Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Banqiao District, New Taipei, Taiwan. It is administered by the New Taipei City Government. It consists of several parts, of which the Banqiao First Stadium (Traditional Chinese: 板橋第一運動場) is able to hold 30,000 people and was opened in 1987. It is currently used mostly for football matches. In recent years, it has also been used for outdoor concerts. Guns N' Roses kicked off their 2009-2011 World Tour at the stadium on 11 December 2009. Banqiao District
Banqiao District () is a district and the seat of New Taipei City, Taiwan. It has the third-highest population density in Taiwan, with over . Until the creation of New Taipei City, Banqiao (then transliterated as Banciao or Pan-ch'iao) was an incorporated county-administered city and the former seat of Taipei County. Name origin The district's old name was ''Pang-kio'' (), which dates back to the Qing Dynasty during the reign of the Qianlong Emperor (1735 - 1796 AD). A wooden bridge, locally called ''Pang-kio-thau'' (枋橋頭), was built for pedestrians to cross a brook located in the west of today's Banqiao, the modern day Nanzigou (湳仔溝, literally "Nanzi Creek"). Banqiao Station
Banqiao () is a railway and metro station in New Taipei, Taiwan served by Taiwan High Speed Rail, TRA and Taipei Metro. With the exception of the Circular Line, all other tracks and platforms in the station are located underground. The station is served by the fastest HSR express services of the ''1 series''. The current station building opened in 1999 for TRA, 2006 for Taipei Metro, and 2007 for HSR. The station currently handles over 77 million entries and exits per year. The elevated metro station of the Circular line opened on 31 January 2020. Chinese Democracy Tour Series
The Chinese Democracy Tour was a worldwide concert tour by American rock band Guns N' Roses to promote the group's album '' Chinese Democracy''. It began in 2001, with three U.S. dates and a Brazilian one, while their 2002 tour included Asian, North American and a few European dates. The band did not tour again until May 2006, when it toured North America again and performed a major tour of Europe. The band's tour continued in 2007 with shows in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Mexico. Their first show after the 2008 release of ''Chinese Democracy'' was in Taiwan on December 11, 2009. In the same month, the group played South Korea for the first time, as well as two dates in Japan. New Taipei City is a special municipality located in northern Taiwan. The city is home to an estimated population of 3,974,683 as of 2022, making it the most populous city of Taiwan, and also the second largest special municipality by area, behind Kaohsiung.
