Banks O' Dee F.C.
Banks o' Dee Football Club is a Scottish football club from the city of Aberdeen that plays in the Scottish Highland Football League. Their home ground is Spain Park, by the banks of the River Dee. In 2009, Banks o' Dee were among four clubs to apply for membership of the Highland Football League. Their application was unsuccessful. Notwithstanding their junior status, in 2014 the club became a full member of the Scottish Football Association and therefore competes in the Scottish Cup. History On 27 September 2008, they made their Scottish Cup debut by trouncing Fort William 10–0 in the first round. They went out in the second round after a 5–1 defeat by Inverurie Loco Works on 27 October 2008. Banks o' Dee were in the final of the Aberdeenshire Shield after demolishing Highland League side Huntly 6–1 at Spain Park in the semi-final on 28 October 2008. Scottish League Two
The Scottish League Two, known as cinch League Two for sponsorship reasons, is the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League, the league competition for men's professional football clubs in Scotland. The Scottish League Two was established in July 2013, after the Scottish Professional Football League was formed by a merger of the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Since the 2014–15 season, the bottom team has entered a play-off against the winner of a play-off between the winners of the Highland and Lowland Leagues for a place in the following season's competition. The 2016–17 North Superleague was the sixteenth staging of the North Superleague, the highest tier of league competition in the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The 2015–16 North Superleague is the fifteenth staging of the North Superleague, the highest tier of league competition in the North Region of the Scottish Junior Football Association. The season began on 11 August 2015. The winners of this competition are eligible to enter the 2016–17 Scottish Cup Banks O' Dee won the championship on 14 May 2016, to claim their third North Superleague title. Aberdeenshire And District League
The Aberdeenshire and District League, usually known as the Aberdeenshire League, is a football tournament for clubs in membership of the Aberdeenshire and District Football Association. The clubs are drawn from the historic counties of Aberdeenshire and Banffshire. Historically, clubs from Moray and Angus also competed. The competition began in 1919 as the North Eastern League and renamed in 1921. It ran until the end of season 1952–53 when it was disbanded due to clubs' priorities being primarily on the Highland League. Aberdeenshire Shield
The Aberdeenshire Shield, like the Aberdeenshire Cup, is a competition for Aberdeenshire Football clubs. The competition was first held in 1990–91 Highland Football League season and the winners were Cove Rangers. The Aberdeenshire Shield was originally contested between only Highland League clubs. However in recent years, teams such as Aberdeen, Peterhead, Banks O' Dee and Aberdeen University have entered the competition. The final of the tournament is normally contested at a suitable neutral venue. The Aberdeenshire Cup is a Scottish football tournament for all senior clubs affiliated to the Aberdeenshire and District Football Association (ADFA), being clubs from the historic counties of Aberdeenshire and Banffshire.
