''Banging on the Doors of Love'' is the second studio album by Dutch singer-songwriter Sandra van Nieuwland. It was released in The Netherlands by 8ball Music on 22 November 2013. Singles "Hunter" was released as the first single on 3 August 2013. "Always Alone" was released as the second single on 8 November 2013. Both songs were written by Van Nieuwland, Tjeerd Bomhof and Mathias Janmaat. Sandra Van Nieuwland
Sandra van Nieuwland (born 16 February 1977 in Delft), also known as ''Sandra Newland'', is a Dutch singer who gained national popularity after her participation in the third season of ''The Voice of Holland''. Career Van Nieuwland rose to fame when she participated in the third season of The Voice of Holland in 2012. During the competition, she received a Gold award for her cover of "More", which she sang during her audition. In the first live show, van Nieuwland received a platina award for "More" and became the first contestant to receive an award while the competition was still running. "More" also reached first place in the Singles Top 100, as well as her cover of " Keep Your Head Up". The following liveshow, she broke her own record with "Beggin'", which reached first place again. Voicst
Voicst are a three-piece indie rock band hailing from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. "Voicst" was the name of a stray cat at the band's very first practice space in Amsterdam. Band members * Tjeerd Bomhof (lead vocals/guitar) * Sven Woodside (bass/vocals) * Joppe Molenaar (drums/samples) Biography Originally formed as a school band in 1994, Voicst went on hiatus until 2001, when they decided to revive their band. In 2002, Voicst kicked off their career with a much anticipated show at the Winston in Amsterdam. After their show they were asked to support various artists, such as Millionaire, Enon, and Mclusky. In the following years, Voicst opened for other bands like Tenacious D, The Raveonettes, and Nada Surf. Voicst built a solid live reputation and were invited to play at the Noorderslag Festival.
