Baneshwor ( ne, बानेश्वर) is the largest residential area of Kathmandu, Nepal. The area is composed of New-Baneshwor, Mid-Baneshwor, and Old-Baneshwor, Baneshwor Height, Minbhawan, Shankhamul, Bhimsengola and Thapa Gaun.. Major landmarks of Baneshwor include the current meeting place of the Federal Parliament of Nepal, the International Convention Centre. International Convention Centre, Nepal
The International Convention Centre, formerly known as the Birendra International Convention Centre (BICC), is a major conference venue in Nepal. Located in New Baneshwor, Kathmandu, it currently houses the Federal Parliament of Nepal. The complex uniquely blends Nepalese and modern architecture to create a luxuriously decorated solid structure with multifunctional modern facilities. Maitighar Mandala
The Maitighar Mandala () is a symbolic monument located in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal. It is an island at the intersection of roads from Thapathali, New Baneshwor, Bhadrakali and at the southeast corner of Singhadurbar, the administrative centre of Nepal. It forms an important landmark in the beautification of Kathmandu city and a master piece of art depicting Buddhist relics. It also marks the initiation mark stone of one of the major highways of Nepal, Araniko Highway, that links Nepal with China. Sadbhavana Party
Sadbhavana Party is a political party in Nepal. The party emerged from a major split in the Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi) in the summer of 2007. Laxman Lal Karna was the joint chair of the party. History Initially the party also used the name "Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandidevi)", but the party was not recognised by the Election Commission of Nepal by that name. Formal higher learning in Nepal began with the establishment of Tri-Chandra College in 1918, the first college in the country. Until 1985, Tribhuvan University was the only university in the country.
