Bandera Waltz
"Bandera Waltz" is a song written by O. B. "Easy" Adams. It is a Western cowboy ballad. According to the book ''Country Music USA'', it talks about "the famous Bandera Stampede in Texas". This was the first song released by the Texas Top Hands on their own Everstate record label in 1949. The song became a regional hit and has since been considered "a dance hall classic". KWKH
KWKH (1130 AM) is a sports radio station serving Shreveport, Louisiana. The 50-kilowatt station broadcasts at 1130 kHz. Formerly owned by Clear Channel Communications and Gap Central Broadcasting, it is now owned by Townsquare Media. Its studios are shared with its other five sister stations on Westport Avenue in West Shreveport (one mile west of Shreveport Regional Airport), and the transmitter is a three-tower array in Belcher, Louisiana. KWKH is no longer the local affiliate of the New Orleans Saints, but still broadcast the LSU Tigers (hence its nickname, "1130 The Tiger") as well as Fox Sports Radio. It is a 50,000-watt clear-channel station, one of two in Louisiana; the other being WWL in New Orleans. ''Louisiana Hayride'' was a radio and later television country music show broadcast from the Shreveport Municipal Memorial Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana, that during its heyday from 1948 to 1960 helped to launch the careers of some of the greatest names in American country and western music. "Love Song of the Waterfall" is a song written by Bob Nolan. It was sung by Roy Rogers with the band Sons of the Pioneers, that Bob Nolan was a founding member of. Slim Whitman version This became Slim Whitman's first hit for the Imperial record label in 1952. (Prior to that, he was with RCA Victor.) He recorded it, along with "My Love Is Growing Stale", "Bandera Waltz", and "End of the World", in November 1951 at KWKH. "Love Song of the Waterfall" was released as a single (Imperial 8134, with "My Love Is Growing Stale" on the opposite side) in January 1952 and by the end of April showed up just under the top ten of the ''Billboard'' Country & Western Records Most Played by Folk Disk Jockeys chart. Imperial Records is an American record company and label started in 1947 by Lew Chudd. The label was reactivated in 2006 by EMI, which owned the label and back catalogue at the time. Imperial is owned by Universal Music Group.
