Geography The Boobyalla River forms part of the southern boundary and then flows through from south to north. The Tomahawk River forms part of the western boundary. Scottsdale, formerly known as Ellesmere, is a town in the north-east of Tasmania, Australia. It lies on the Tasman Highway, around north-east of Launceston and south-east of the coastal town of Bridport. It is part of the Dorset Council. Boobyalla
Boobyalla was a shipping port on the north-east coast of Tasmania, Australia during the latter half of the nineteenth century. Coastal vessels ran regularly to the port from other Tasmanian ports, carting tin from the mines around nearby Mount Cameron. Boobyalla Post Office opened on 29 July 1875 and closed in 1927.
