Bambi (Hippo Campus Album)
''Bambi'' is the second studio album by American rock band Hippo Campus. It was released on September 28, 2018, through Grand Jury Music and Transgressive Records. Background The first single for ''Bambi'', "Passenger", was released on June 12, 2018. Lead singer Jake Luppen shared that the album was written in the winter of 2017, four months in the middle of the tour of their debut album, '' Landmark''. Luppen said that the track is focused on the challenges of growing alongside the person you love. Stylistically, Luppen said he tried to challenge himself by orchestrating more complex chord progressions. "I started off with a TR-8 groove and the rest followed pretty naturally.” Natalie Harmsen, writing for ''Atwood'' describe Luppen's voice as "airy" and "spacey", yet "clear as a bell". The band has performed at South by Southwest, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Summerfest and Reading and Leeds Festivals, as well as on '' Conan''. Genius is an American digital media company founded on August 27, 2009, by Tom Lehman, Ilan Zechory, and Mahbod Moghadam. The site allows users to provide annotations and interpretation to song lyrics, news stories, sources, poetry, and documents. Originally launched as Rap Genius with a focus on hip-hop music, the company attracted the attention and support of celebrities, and venture capital enabling further growth. Electrical Audio
Electrical Audio is a recording studio, recording facility founded in Chicago, Illinois by musician and recording engineer Steve Albini in 1997. Hundreds of independent music projects have been recorded there. Unlike most producers, Albini refuses to take any royalties from musicians who record at the studio. Founded during an era of increasing popularity for digital recording, Electrical Audio was unusual for using only analog recording technology, including mixing consoles, tape recorders and many outboard sound effects. The rooms are also designed to offer natural reverberation rather than adding the quality in post-production. In a 2007 post on the studio's message board, the studio's technician Greg Norman revealed that the studio had acquired a Pro Tools rig for computer-aided recording and editing, saying it had become "as important to have as a piano".
