Bamberg (electoral District)
Bamberg is an electoral constituency (German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 236. It is located in northern Bavaria, comprising the city of Bamberg, the southern part of the Landkreis Bamberg district, and the western part of the Forchheim district. Bamberg was created for the inaugural 1949 federal election. Since 2002, it has been represented by Thomas Silberhorn of the Christian Social Union (CSU). Geography Bamberg is located in northern Bavaria. As of the 2021 federal election, it comprises the independent city of Bamberg, the municipalities of Altendorf, Buttenheim, Frensdorf, Hallstadt, Hirschaid, Pettstadt, Pommersfelden, Schlüsselfeld, Stegaurach, Strullendorf, and Walsdorf and the '' Verwaltungsgemeinschaften'' of Burgebrach, Ebrach, and Lisberg from the Landkreis Bamberg district, and the municipalities of E ...

Bundestag
The Bundestag (, "Federal Diet") is the German federal parliament. It is the only federal representative body that is directly elected by the German people. It is comparable to the United States House of Representatives or the House of Commons of the United Kingdom. Altendorf is a community in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg, Bavaria, Germany. Geography Altendorf lies in the Oberfranken-West (Upper Franconia West) Region. Constituent communities The namesake centre of Altendorf has 1,544 inhabitants while the outlying amalgamated centre of Seußling (or Seussling) has 542 (as of 1 January 2003). The community also has two traditional rural land units, known in German as ''Gemarkungen'', also named Altendorf and Seußling (it is traditional for a ''Gemarkung'' to be named after a town or village lying nearby). Walsdorf is a community in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and a member of the administrative community (''Verwaltungsgemeinschaft'') of Stegaurach. Strullendorf
Strullendorf is a community in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg. Geography Location Strullendorf lies in a valley and is partly surrounded by the Hauptsmoorwald (forest), near which lies the Hauptsmoorhalle (a concert venue). The Hauptsmoorwald stretches all the way to Bamberg and parts of it are used by the US Army stationed there as a training area. A particularly pleasant place in Strullendorf is the Lindenallee, with its huge old trees. Hirschaid
Hirschaid is a German market town in the Upper Franconian district of Bamberg and lies roughly twelve kilometres south of Bamberg on the Regnitz and the Main-Danube Canal.
