Balu, Kaithal
Balu is a small archeological site attributed to the Indus Valley civilisation, located some south of the city of Kaithal in the Indian state of Haryana. There are three Patti in village.There exists many castes in the village, most among them are Hindu Jats (mainly Jaglan, Bidhan, Rapria, Boora). Balanathan Benjamin Mahendran (19 May 1939 13 February 2014), commonly known as Balu Mahendra, was a Sri Lankan-born Indian cinematographer, director, screenwriter and film editor who worked predominantly in Tamil cinema. Widely regarded as an auteur, Mahendra usually scripted and edited his films apart from shooting them. He was the recipient of six National Film Awards (including two for Best Cinematography), five Filmfare Awards South and several state government awards. Mahendran developed a passion for photography and literature at a young age. After witnessing the shoot of David Lean's ''The Bridge on the River Kwai'' (1957) during a school trip in Sri Lanka, he was drawn towards filmmaking. Balu Sankaran was a professor, scientist and recipient of the Padma Shri and Padma Vibushan awards. He helped establish an artificial limbs manufacturing corporation and a rehabilitation institute. Biography Sankaran was born in Tamil Nadu on 4 September 1926. He graduated with a medical degree from Stanley Medical College in Chennai in 1948. He travelled to United States and England and received training from Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center during 1951–1955 and Manchester Royal Infirmary in 1955. ''Balu: ABCDEFG'' is a 2005 Indian Telugu-language crime action film written and directed by A. Karunakaran. This film stars Pawan Kalyan, Shriya, debutante Neha Oberoi and Gulshan Grover. Jean Balue (5 October 1491) was a French cardinal and minister of Louis XI. Born without resources, he managed to climb the political ladder by exploiting connections, to whom he often did not remain loyal, and by making himself an indispensable agent of the king's purposes in a time of political disorder in France. His services were as much military as ecclesiastical, bringing him the critical task of defending the city of Paris against the King's enemies. His work as a diplomat in dealing with Duke Francis of Brittany and with Charles de France brought him the office of first minister to the King. Balue overreached himself in negotiating a treaty between the King and Charles the Bold, who had become Duke of Burgundy and was trying to recover all his family inheritance.
