Bălți
Bălți (; russian: Бельцы, , uk, Бєльці, , yi, בעלץ ) is a city in Moldova. It is the second largest city in terms of population, area and economic importance, after Chișinău. The city is one of the five Moldovan municipalities. Sometimes also called "the northern capital", it is a major industrial, cultural and commercial centre and transportation hub in the north of the country. It is situated north of the capital Chișinău, and is located on the river Răut, a tributary of the Dniester, on a hilly landscape in the Bălți steppe. Name The word "''bălți''" (pl. of Romanian sing. "''baltă''") in direct translation means "puddle". Mohamed Salah Balti ( aeb, محمد صالح بلطي; born April 10, 1980) is a Tunisian singer, rapper, composer and music producer. Biography He began his artistic career with the group Wled Bled before starting, in 2002, to make himself known on the Tunisian scene through an unofficial album with DJ Danjer. In 2003, he collaborated with the Tunisian director Mohamed Zrane in the soundtrack of his film "The Prince" where he had written, composed and performed three pieces in addition to the end credits of the film. From 2004 to 2009, he gave concerts throughout Tunisia but also in Europe where he performed notably with Rohff, Tandem, FactorX, Sinik, Cheb Slim, Diam's, and in Germany with Methodman and Redman. Baltistan
Baltistan ( ur, ; bft, སྦལ་ཏི་སྟཱན, script=Tibt), also known as Baltiyul or Little Tibet ( bft, སྦལ་ཏི་ཡུལ་།, script=Tibt), is a mountainous region in the Pakistani-administered territory of Gilgit–Baltistan. It is located near the Karakoram (south of K2) and borders Gilgit to the west, China's Xinjiang to the north, Indian-administered Ladakh to the southeast, and the Indian-administered Kashmir Valley to the southwest. The average altitude of the region is over . Baltistan is largely administered under the Baltistan Division. Balti Language
Balti (Nastaʿlīq script: , Tibetan script: སྦལ་ཏི།, ) is a Tibetic language natively spoken by the ethnic Balti people in the Baltistan region of Gilgit−Baltistan, Pakistan, Nubra Valley of the Leh district and in the Kargil district of Ladakh, India. The language differs from Standard Tibetan; many sounds of Old Tibetan that were lost in Standard Tibetan are retained in the Balti language. It also has a simple pitch accent system only in multi-syllabic words while Standard Tibetan has a complex and distinct pitch system that includes tone contour. Demographics and distribution Balti is spoken in most parts of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan, Kargil and Nubra Ladakh in India. A balti or bāltī gosht ( ur, , hi, बाल्टी गोश्त) is a type of curry served in a thin, pressed-steel wok called a "balti bowl". The name may have come from the metal dish in which the curry is cooked, rather than from any specific ingredient or cooking technique. ''Balti'' curries are cooked quickly using vegetable oil rather than ghee, over high heat in the manner of a stir-fry, and any meat is used off the bone. This combination differs sharply from a traditional one-pot Indian curry which is simmered slowly all day. ''Balti'' sauce is based on garlic and onions, with turmeric and ''garam masala'', among other spices. ''Balti gosht'' is eaten in North India and some parts of Pakistan, as well as other parts of the world, such as Great Britain. Balti Jaam
Baltic Station ( et, Balti jaam) is the main railway station in Tallinn, Estonia. All local commuter, long-distance and international trains depart from the station. The station has seven platforms, of which two are situated apart from the rest and have been serving the international Tallinn–Moscow and Tallinn–Saint Petersburg routes performed by GoRail, and Elron's long-distance route to Viljandi.
