The Balochistan Development Authority is an agency of Government of Balochistan, Quetta. The authority was established in 1974 under the Balochistan Development Authority Act, 1974 passed by Balochistan Assembly. The authority works under the Department of planning and development to promote economic and industrial development in Balochistan. The Government of Balochistan ( ur, ) is the provincial government of the largest province of Balochistan, Pakistan in Quetta. The head of the province is the Governor, who is nominated by the President of Pakistan. The chief executive of the Government of Balochistan is the Chief Minister who is elected by the Balochistan Assembly and the administrative boss of the province is the Chief Secretary of Balochistan who is appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan. Quetta (; ur, ; ; ps, کوټه) is the tenth List of cities in Pakistan by population, most populous city in Pakistan with a population of over 1.1 million. It is situated in Geography of Pakistan, south-west of the country close to the Durand line, International border with Afghanistan. Balochistan Assembly
The Provincial Assembly of Balochistan is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the Pakistani province of Balochistan, and is located in Quetta, the provincial capital. It was established under Article 106 of the Constitution of Pakistan having a total of 65 seats, with 51 general seats, 11 seats reserved for women and 3 reserved for non-Muslims. The Assembly has 51 directly elected Members of the Provincial Assembly, representing constituencies from each district, as well as 11 seats reserved for women and 3 for non-Muslims. Gwadar Development Authority (GDA;Urdu: گوادر ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی) is a public and government sector corporation responsible for providing municipal services in Gwadar City (Southwestern Arabian Sea Coastline of Pakistan), established in October 2003, to improve, enhancement and implement the master plan for Gwadar city. History Starting of work on the Gwadar Port in March 2002, it was expected that there will be a massive growth in Gwadar town and their suburb areas. In order to manage and regulate this huge growth rate, a Gwadar Master Plan was introduced.
